Lead Montessori Teacher in Tampa, FL, US

Available Position: Montessori Teacher Lead (US Only)

Location: Tampa-Florida

Life International Academy is seeking an exceptional Montessori Guide to join our innovative K-8 educational community. As the first Life-Based Skills Learning School in the world, we are dedicated to providing a transformative learning experience grounded in virtues and ethical values. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Montessori Teacher . This Founding Teacher Role is a unique opportunity to shape the future of education by integrating Montessori principles with a life-skills-based curriculum similar to project-based learning but with a deeper focus on practical life applications. The ideal candidate will be an innovative educator who is ready to challenge traditional methods and inspire students to learn and grow in an environment that values creativity, critical thinking, and ethical decision-making.

About Us: Life International Academy offers a unique educational environment focused on life skills, multilingualism (Arabic , Mandarin & Spanish), and outdoor environmental studies. We prioritize hands-on learning experiences and minimal screen time to cultivate a serene and engaging atmosphere where every student thrives.Our curriculum is based on the true principles of Montessori Philosophy, Naturalism Education, and grounded in Virtues. Responsibilities:

  • Develop the montessori program at our school and become the Founding Lead Teacher to grow our Montessori school program & train new teachers.
  • Develop and implement a Montessori curriculum with engaging lessons that incorporates life skills, ethical values, and project-based learning elements that aligns with our life-based learning approach.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes virtues, ethical standards, and global citizenship.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and execute interdisciplinary projects that address real-world challenges , addressing environmental & global issues.
  • Empower students to understand the connection between mind and body for optimal learning outcomes.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school’s mission and vision.
  • Use technology and Montessori curriculum development software to design and align the school’s curriculum with educational standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
  • Some Montessori Training
  • Must have at least 4 years of experience in a Montessori or progressive educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy, principles, and methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of Project-based learning philosophy.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement innovative curriculum and teaching strategies for our life-skills based learning approach.
  • Technology proficiency, including expertise in Student information system, Google Classroom, Microsoft Office and curriculum development software.
  • Commitment to promoting virtues, ethical values, and sustainable living practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families.
  • Fluency in Foreign languages such as Arabic or Mandarin is an asset but not required.
  • All staff will undergo background checks and screening prior to their start date.

Compensation:

Starting salary ranges for Elementary Teacher $40,000 to $50,000 based on experience, degrees and qualifications for a 10-month contract, with bonus opportunities for work during summer and breaks. Higher Compensation for upper grades & higher qualifications.
