A Strengths-Based University
Reactive behaviors are patterns of behavior that interfere with learning and positive social interactions. They are alarmingly common in today’s classrooms, so access to strategies that work, even for learners with developmental differences, delays, or disabilities, is important. Pam Shanks, the author of “The Montessori Approach to Classroom-Based Interventions,” will introduce the concept of Montessori Classroom-Based Interventions, define the difference between tantrums and meltdowns, and provide several strategies from her book to help you teach the behavior you hope to see. Join us and learn to Teach by Teaching!
