Sarasota University is pleased to announce a new dual enrollment partnership with the Arizona Montessori Teacher Education Program (AMTEP).
The Arizona Montessori Teacher Education Program was established with the intent to prepare Montessori educators to take their place in the classroom and in the larger Montessori community. With a team of experienced Montessori teachers and teacher educators, AMTEP provides guidance, inspiration, and respectful support throughout the adult learning journey while preparing educators to lead purposeful and effective Montessori classrooms.
Through this new partnership, students enrolled in the Arizona Montessori Teacher Education Program can now enroll at Sarasota University and simultaneously earn credit hours toward their chosen degree. This collaboration allows AMTEP participants to deepen their learning, receive graduate-level credit, and take purposeful steps toward completing a Montessori-focused Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, all while continuing to make a meaningful impact in their schools and communities.
As the first university to receive accreditation from the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE), Sarasota University remains committed to expanding access to high-quality Montessori higher education and creating pathways that support educators throughout their professional journeys.
We are honored to partner with AMTEP and look forward to supporting their students as they advance their education and continue making lasting contributions to Montessori communities.
