Kara Siegel Faculty in College of Education

With over thirteen years of experience in Montessori education, Kara Siegel brings a deep commitment to student-centered, holistic learning across all levels of the Montessori continuum. She began her journey as an Early Childhood classroom assistant, where her passion for the Montessori method took root. After earning her Elementary I credential from the Houston Montessori Center, she taught Lower Elementary for five years before completing her Elementary II training through Montessori Live in Sarasota. For the past eight years, she has been guiding and inspiring students in Upper Elementary classrooms. 

Grounded in the belief that education should nurture the whole child—mind, body, and spirit—Kara values Montessori’s diversified, interdisciplinary approach. She is particularly drawn to the philosophy’s emphasis on independence, curiosity, peace education, and the interconnectedness of all things. In both her teaching and mentorship, she strives to create environments that honor each student’s potential and cultivate a lifelong love of learning.
