Krystal Perkins, Ph.D. Faculty in College of Education

Dr. Krystal Perkins has been a member of the Montessori community since 2001, serving 7 years as a teacher, 16 years as an administrator, 7 years as a teacher educator, and 20 years as a parent. She began her educational career as an Early Childhood guide in the private sector. Soon, she transitioned to the public sector as a teacher during the inaugural year of her campus’ Montessori program, where she initiated her path into administration and remains as a leader. In addition, Krystal coaches adult learners as an instructor and field consultant for the Early Childhood program at Gulf Coast Montessori Teacher Education Center.

Krystal earned a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Liberty University, an M.Ed. with a concentration in Instructional Technology from American Intercontinental University, and a B.A in Psychology from Texas A&M University. She is AMS credentialed in Early Childhood and is currently working toward her Administrator Credential.

Krystal lives with her educator husband and the youngest two of their six children in Pearland, TX. She enjoys spending time with her family, whether in person or virtually, especially now with her Marine stationed in Japan, Coast Guardsman stationed in California, and graduate student attending University of Texas at Dallas. She is also passionate about travel, whether road trip or international destinations. On a quest with her husband to visit all state and national parks, they have completed 86/88 Texas parks and 15 national parks. It’s always an adventure!
