Miriam Magre Loren, M.S., M. Ed. Faculty in College of Education
Miriam Magre Loren is a deeply passionate and dedicated educator with over 15 years of experience in the field. Her previous teaching roles have encompassed various educational systems and countries, including Montessori and IB programs. Having taught in the US, Spain, UK, The Netherlands, and Costa Rica, she has had the privilege of connecting with diverse teams and cultures.
Miriam currently serves as a Montessori guide in a picturesque school nestled between the jungle and the sea in Costa Rica. Additionally, she contributes content for the American Montessori Society and manages a small educational consultancy called Towards Montessori. Miriam holds master’s degrees in Biology and Education, along with certifications from the American Montessori Society (AMS) for Elementary I and the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) for Administration. As a lifelong learner, she is currently enrolled in a two-year AMS adult teacher program.
Committed to promoting equitable education, Miriam has served as a consultant for Montessori schools in Ghana, specifically in Accra, and currently provides consultancy services to a Montessori school in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Miriam has presented at numerous International Montessori Conferences, including the “PMET- Public Montessori Educators of Texas Conference,” “AMS- The Montessori Event,” “Childhood Potential Online Montessori Conference,” the fifth edition of “The International Montessori Congress,” and “MEPI- Hands for Peace International Conference.” She is thrilled to join the faculty at Sarasota University.
