Monica Johnson, M.A. Ed Faculty in College of Education

Monica Johnson is a trained Montessori Guide with a total of 25 years experience in Montessori classrooms, and a combined 15 years of experience in case management, higher education, and program administration. She currently works as an Instructional Guide at the Center for Guided Montessori Studies and as a Program Administrator in Frederick County Maryland. Johnson has a passion for education and is credentialed as a level 5 educator through the Maryland State Department of Education with over 450 continuing education hours in early childhood education and curriculum development. She is certified in trauma informed practices of intervention, prevention, and motivational interviewing.

Johson earned a Master’s in Montessori Leadership from Sarasota University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Behavioral Social Science from the University of Maryland.
