Shawn Edwards, M.A. Faculty in College of Education
After pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Human Services, Shawn Edwards received her AMI Elementary Montessori Teacher certification from the Washington Montessori Institute. She then spent 35 years working in Montessori education as a teacher, Head of School, and Executive Director. She holds a Master’s Degree in Transformational Leadership and Coaching from Wright Graduate University for the Realization of the Human Potential and is also a Positive Discipline Trainer.
In 2019, Shawn launched her coaching and consulting business, ToolHows: “How To” tools for parents and schools. Through ToolHows, she provides coaching and consulting services for all areas of school operation. She also coaches parents in both group and private settings.
Shawn has three grown children and two grandchildren. She has been married for 36 years and lives on a farm in Central Texas, where she tends to donkeys, goats, ducks, and her two beloved dogs.
When she is not working or caring for the needs of her farm, Shawn enjoys running, rollerblading, paddle boarding, reading, and spending time with family.
